Trois cinéastes stimulant nos rétines d’un flux d’images (Super 8 et 16mm) nous faisant passer dans d’autres états mentaux. Un jeune cinéaste argentin tourne un film-torrent dont la forme et la force font écho au sujet (la rivière Quilpo : ses rapides et les rêves que lui attribuent les Indiens Comechingón). Paul Clipson filme les éclats de lumière et les bouts de corps, accompagne leurs mouvements et en souligne le lyrisme hypnotique. En magicien de la matière, Makino Takashi propose des textures abstraites presque palpables, qui prennent de l’épaisseur et dans les rayures desquelles s’engouffrent nos pensées et notre imaginaire.
Drie filmmakers prikkelen ons netvlies met een vloed aan beelden (Super 8 en 16mm) die ons naar andere mentale toestanden voert. Een jonge Argentijnse filmmaker maakt een film-stroom waarvan de vorm en de kracht het onderwerp onderstrepen (de stroomversnellingen van de rivier Quilpo en de dromen die de Comechingón Indianen haar toeschrijven). Paul Clipson filmt lichtuitbarstingen en lichaamsdelen, volgt hun bewegingen en benadrukt hun hypnotiserende lyriek. Makino Takashi, tovenaar met materie, maakt bijna tastbare abstracte texturen, lijvig en met krassen waar onze gedachten en onze verbeelding in weg kunnen zinken.
Three filmmakers stimulate our retinas with a stream of images (Super 8 and 16mm) taking us into different mental states. A young Argentine filmmaker makes a film-torrent whose shape and strength echo the subject (the Quilpo river: its rapids and the dreams the Comechingón Indians attribute to it). Paul Clipson films bursts of light and bits of bodies, accompanies their movements and highlights their hypnotic lyricism. As a magician of matter, Takashi Makino offers abstract textures almost tangible that increase in thickness and where scratches appear in which our thoughts and imagination can plunge.
