Souvent la musique de chambre est plus touchante que la musique symphonique. Cinq films courts, comme des chansons, ouverts sur le monde (les fenêtres, la ville, les voies de chemin de fer, les jardins, la nature) mais recentrés sur l’espace-clé de l’intimité, du ressourcement et de l’attention portée aux autres : la chambre. Quatre murs au milieu desquels on joue du piano, du violoncelle ou on écoute un vieux 45-tours… Et quand le film est muet, c’est la caméra qui danse !

Kamermuziek is vaak ontroerender dan symfonische muziek. Vijf korte films, als liederen, die openstaan voor de wereld (ramen, de stad, spoorlijnen, tuinen, natuur), maar zich toespitsen op de belangrijkste ruimte voor intimiteit, herbronning en aandacht voor anderen: de kamer. Vier muren waartussen men piano of cello speelt of luistert naar een oude 45-toerenplaat … En wanneer de film stil is, danst de camera!

Chamber music is often is more touching than symphonic music. Five miniatures, short as a song can be, open to the world (windows, the city, railroad tracks, gardens, nature) but at the same time focused on the most essential space of intimacy: the rooms and private spaces. Four walls where in the middle one plays the piano, the cello or listens to an old 45 rpm record… And when the film is silent, it’s the camera that dances!
