Het in 1975 opgestarte Short Film Series werkt als een open geheel van kortfilms (portretten, landschappen, stillevens) dat Sherwin in het centrum van zijn oeuvre plaatst en dat hij regelmatig verrijkt. Het in 1980 in Ierland gedraaide Connemara is een landschapsstudie en waarvan dit de eerste projectie in zijn oorspronkelijke vorm wordt sinds de jaren 1980. Man with Mirror is een mythische performance, een fenomenale teletijdsmachine, die een intieme ervaring koppelt aan een reflectie over de cinema.

Inauguré en 1975, Short Film Series fonctionne comme un ensemble ouvert de courts métrages (portraits, paysages, natures mortes) que Sherwin place au centre de son travail et dont il enrichit régulièrement le corpus. Tourné en Irlande en 1980, Connemara est une étude de paysage, dont cette projection sera la première dans sa forme originale depuis les années 1980. Man with Mirror est une performance mythique, une phénoménale machine à voyager dans le temps, qui lie expérience intime et réflexion sur le cinéma.

The Short Film Series, inaugurated in 1975, operates as an open set of short films (portraits, landscapes, still lifes) that Sherwin places at the centre of his work, a series he also regularly enriches. Connemara, filmed in Ireland in 1980, is a landscape study. Ours will be the film’s first projection in its original form since the 1980s. Man with Mirror is a mythical performance, a phenomenal time machine that links intimate experience to a reflection on cinema.
