«Marcher = planer = nager = flotter » (Raymonde Carasco). Du pied gracieux de l’héroïne de la nouvelle de Wilhelm Jensen de 1903, Gradiva, dont l’adaptation par Carasco suspend la beauté du pas dans le ralenti et la répétition, à la marche agile et rapide des indiens Tarahumaras, le peuple “au pied qui court”, ces études de mouvement et de lumière captent les vibrations et les matières, enregistrant notamment le déroulement de rites solaires antérieurs à la conquête espagnole.

Van het sierlijke loopje van de heldin van Wilhelm Jensens verhaal uit 1903, Gradiva, waarvan Carasco de schoonheid benadrukt met slow motion en herhaling, tot de behendige en snelle pas van de Tarahumara indianen, “zij die snel rennen”; Carasco’s studie’s van beweging en licht leggen trillingen en materialen vast, ze registreren in het bijzonder het verloop van de zonneriten van voor de Spaanse verovering.

From the graceful walk of the heroine of the story by Wilhelm Jensen written in 1903, Gradiva whose adaptation by Carasco suspends the beauty in slow motion and ritualised repetition to the agile stalk of the Tarahumara Indians, the people “with feet that run”. These studies of movement and light capture the vibrations and matter, including the recording off riruals prior to the Spanish conquest.
